Marley and Me Movie review
Last night we watched the movie "Marley and Me." It was a splendid film about a man and his old time friend, the yellow dog. John (Owen Wilson) started the movie well enough with a plan. 1) Get Married, 2) Move somewhere warmer (i.e. Florida rather than Michigan) 3) and start the family. The first edition to the family was the clearance puppy (Marley) and then shortly thereafter a baby boy. The progression of the film followed them on a tale of bonding between the Male characters being cast out into the dog house repeatedly. But the trials passed and they mended it instead of ending it. Although there was a lack of character development between the humans, that is okay because we were supposed to feel for the most dynamic character (Marley). Doing so helps the viewers feel for the dog as it dies in the end. A tear jerker but death was understood well and you want to have a dog like Marley even though he was often a burden. We recommend this film with two paws up!

I don't agree. Me and John loved Marley and Me because of the character development. We liked the contrast of John (Owen Wilson) and his friends life. John (Owen Wilson) thought he wanted his friends life but in the end realized how much more he had. Also I loved that it showed how hard it is to be a stay at home Mom and what a sacrifice it is, you have to give up some dreams and make a choice. Also we loved in the end nothing really went as planned but that they realized what they had was better. I great depiction of what married life is really like. Sacrifice some dreams for something better.
